Here at DoGoodSoftware, we believe in building simple and basic websites.

Flash-bang and gee-whizzz:
We rarely use Javascript and when we do it is for simple things like showing a Shopping Cart's contents and value or the Date and time. Other than that we leave the flashy bloop-bloop to people that want to impress you with their flashy web page rather than their products and services they try to provide.

We never use any of the gee-whiz languages and systems such as Java, PHP, ASP, Miva etc.

Everyone can see the pages:
We want everyone who can surf the Internet to see our web pages and not just those with Java enabled, or JavaScript or animated icons or the rest of the distracting garbage. On the websites we design, you will never see, "Best viewed with" or "Best viewed at 980 x 760.." We want EVERYONE looking at your websites to see the full amount of content you have. Selling your products and services is the whole point of having a web site.

Now that PDAs and Cell Phones are able to access web pages, basic and simple page construction is even more important.

The people your customers will deal with:
A website to us, is an indication of the company your customers are about to deal with. If it is flashy and shallow then guess what you will find behind it? Not so with DoGoodSoftware web design.

We design our pages so they are fast on dial-up connection rather than assuming everyone has hi-speed connections. With less than 50% of the American Internet public on hi-speed connections, it seems stupid to us to load up a website with big flashy pictures. They are big pictures that your customers would have to wait 2 or 3 minutes for in order to finally see your products. Our pages load fast and look good and through clever picture size reductions you can still have great looking pages and content.

Our Customers:
Within our customer-base you will see a uniformity in design, but that is at the request of the customer. We will suggest layouts, but you are paying the bill, so we will make it look as you want it. The fact that quite a few of our customers choose to follow our basic Framed layout indicates they see the sense in easily navigable pages as do we. But, we are happy to make your pages look the way you want to see them. We advise, not mandate.

Shopping carts:
We have access to Mal's free or Mal's very low cost and very secure shopping carts that will fully integrate with your website. These carts use current, state of the art, maximum security, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encrypted systems to ensure your information and that of your customers is safely transmitted and received.

We get NO kick-backs from Mal's and nor would we want to. We want you to have the best website and cart system that can be built. Building websites is what we do best and we leave Mal to build the cart.

Software to help:
We have software (ZoomOrders) that will interact with the shopping cart that gathers orders in real time, can print invoices and manage your inventory and customer database.

Total website packages:
We can provide a complete turn-key solution for you, even down to registering your Domain names, configuring the Domain Name Servers (DNS) and setting up your web host's server for you. We can provide free or low cost software for maintaining that website and even offer some basic training via the Internet.
